This gallery contains the artifacts of the people who inhabited the western and northen regions of Iraq in the stone age. During this time people made essential tools from stones and bones. The period spans in time between 100,000-10,000 years BC. People were hunter-gatherer and then began to reside in villages and developed agriculture and hand made artifacts like pottery. The village cultures of Jarmo, Hassuna and Sammara are examples of these early settlements. The first evidence of religion and ideological beliefs in Iraq begins to appear at this time and came to be fully developed in the fourth millenium BC.
